Annapolis Open® - Officer Grant Turner Memorial Baseball Tournament
The Annapolis Open® Baseball Tournament began operating in 2005 with the first tournament held in March 2006 at General's Highway Corridor Park in conjunction with Riva Park. The Open is in memory of Officer Grant Turner, a young man who loved baseball in his brief and illustrious life and supports the Grant Turner Memorial Fund which sponsors college scholarships in Grant's name1.
The Annapolis Open is planned for March 19, 20 and 21, 2010 and is sponsored by General's Highway Athletic Association with support from the Maryland Diamond Umpires Association, members of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police (MdTA Police), and Phil and Nancy Turner and family.
